Applying for an Examination

1. Please view the fees and penalties before applying.

2. Please have the following available:
   • Debit/Credit Card (Cheques are no longer accepted)
   • Medical Qualification - year/country obtained
   • FRCS/AFRCS/MRCS – month/year obtained [if applicable] [College Subscriptions – please note that it is a requirement of the four Royal Surgical Colleges of Great Britain and Ireland that Fellows, Associate Fellows and Members must be in good standing and have maintained payment of their subscriptions with their affiliated or designated College prior to sitting the examination]
   • The names of your three referees, all of whom MUST be on the UK or Irish Specialist Register
   • PDF or Word format of your Curriculum Vitae and Operative Summary – you will be asked to attach these at the time of online application
   • Access to a printer to print out documents on completion

   To ensure safe delivery of your Mandatory Supporting Documentation, you are advised to use the Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' (guaranteed next day delivery) or 'Recorded Delivery' service. An acknowledgement will be sent to your registered email address.
